My Playroom Is Finished... Taking a Break

I finished painting... all by myself!  ;)   Painting is not difficult.

I highly recommend painting rooms or doing some sort of fun, new project after the first of a new year. Change, moving forward, new directions... it's a great time of year to make a decision! Go ahead, grab a bucket of paint and splash away... even better if it's 'oops' paint--save some $$$!

I decided on green as I desperately need to look at something green during a long, cold winter. We won't even get into that 'Snow Thang'...  I hung my quilt panel on the wall--better than having it folded up. Another word of advice here... just jump right into spring. No matter that it is months away... what you think, you will be! So let's be spring! Okay!

Add a fun little ruffle to the top of a bookcase... makes it all purty, you know.

If an object of furniture is painted the same color as the wall, it 'blends' in and makes a room look larger and less crowded.  I know some of us hate crowds!  Use a yard or so of fabric for quick curtains... just use those little 'ol clip rings and presto... 5 minute curtains! Mine even match the wall color... now, how'd I do that?

My chair awaits. Perfect timing. Now for a blogging break so's I can finish (and start!) several projects on my list: two small throws, a raggedy quilt, scrap booking, a painted clay pot, hem some jeans... hmmm... what else?
I don't know if I'll be away a week, or a month---whoa! probably not a month as I would miss all of you. But just a break so I can get some tangible things done!
C-ya!

I just tried to comment, but I'm not sure if it took. I'll try again.

OH! I love your room. So pretty. I want to lock myself in your room and just relax. Can you come to my house and decorate? That's not my strong suite. :0)

Joy,
Nebraska is a bit far to come (to PA). :0)

Thanks for stopping by my comics. BTW, I found your blog last year and visit it periodically. It's very peaceful with lovely photos.

Hi Joy.
What did I tell you, even God uses green as a backdrop for all his amazing colourful flowers. I'd call that green early spring shoots. Very nice indeed.
What on earth is a "Traggedy quilt?" Sounds very emotional.
I read about Handyman's farm project, very very nice. Making things for children to play with is so fulfilling for a man, especially if they are man type interests like fences and grain silos.
You go have fun, we'll chat again soon.
Blessings to both of you, Geoff.

Geoff,

It is called a 'raggedy quilt'. The seam edges are on the outside, clipped, the quilt is washed, and it looks like a rag--raggedy. Just think if you took a shirt or whatever, and turned it inside out, clipped the seams, and ran it through the washing machine--it would look raggedy. Not emotional at all! You are funny.
